Lily Phillips ‘lied’ to her parents about OnlyFans – here’s how they reacted when they found out

‘I described it to them as more like glamour modelling’

OnlyFans star Lily Phillips has admitted she lied to her parents when she first revealed her career choice. Lily, who has become well-known for her extreme stunts and viral content, confessed that she originally downplayed the truth about what she was really doing.

The 23-year-old grew up in Derbyshire with her parents, Emma and Lindsay, who she describes as “supportive but traditional.” When she dropped out of university and first joined OnlyFans, she told them her work was more like “glamour modelling” rather than the explicit content she was actually creating.

Speaking on Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, Lily explained, “I described it to them as more like glamour modelling. Obviously, they were concerned at the start – are you safe, as long as it’s only online.” She admitted, however, that she hadn’t told her parents about her latest stunt.

Her father has since spoken openly about struggling to come to terms with her choices. “We’ve known for years she’s done OnlyFans and I thought it was just posing in swimwear and lingerie,” he said. “If there’s anything we could do to change her profession, we’d do it overnight… it’s the degradingness of it and making sure that she’s safe.”

Her mother shared a similar view, saying, “When she said she was doing OnlyFans, we stood back because we want to continue our relationship with our daughter. We were pretty open with it, but when it went to the next step, we were like ‘no no’.”

Her dad admitted the situation has left him questioning their family’s past. “Sometimes we think have we done anything wrong with her upbringing. Well, as far as I’m concerned, we’ve had nothing but nice times and love… Is it money? Because if it was money, we’d sell our house. You could have everything you want, Lily, if you gave it all up now.”

Lily has always insisted her decision isn’t about money. She says she does OnlyFans because she loves it. And even though her parents cannot support her stunts, she makes it clear she won’t be changing her path. “I understand where they’re coming from, and I respect how they feel. But I have to live life the way I choose,” she explained.

This stands in sharp contrast to Lily’s rival, Bonnie Blue, whose parents have fully supported her OnlyFans career.
