The White Lotus is a show that pulses with showing us very rich people doing very gross things – and the moments that make you squirm come thick, fast, and covered in suspicious fluid. It’s part of what makes The White Lotus, which is essentially just Benidorm but full of rich knob heads instead, compulsive viewing. You never know how Mike White is going to traumatise you next – and that’s why making this ranking of the most gross moments from The White Lotus is honestly tough work. But I gave it a good go.

5. The rimming

Look, I know some people find this gross because you don’t see much rimming on mainstream telly. But this is just a Friday night, divas. Beyond all the context of who was doing the rimming and the bizarre power play of course! Armond just makes my skin crawl, to be honest.

4. Portia’s vomit situation 

In the second season of The White Lotus, Portia has a very gross time indeed. After spending the night with a man named Jack, she wakes up to find herself in a deeply awkward and uncomfortable situation. Jack has been somewhat shady throughout the night, and Portia realises she has made a poor decision by spending the night with him. And she’s then sick everywhere. It’s somehow not the grossest sick moment in The White Lotus, however.

3. The rats

Funnily enough, I’m not horrified by rats as much as most. But perhaps that is because I haven’t had a swarm of them running ragged all over my luxury hotel room. Imagine.
