Selling The OC’s Lauren is leaving The Oppenheim Group for a brand new project
Don’t worry, she’s still working in real estate
Selling The OC star Lauren has been teasing a new project for months. She’s been working in real estate for over eight years, with her most successful stint at The Oppenheim Group. And although her house sales don’t always make the cut on the Netflix series, she’s now ready to wave goodbye to her TV career and focus on a fresh company.
She was always steering clear of the drama, and while some questioned why she was even on the show, Lauren stayed true to herself. The cast member has now announced she’s launching something entirely new with real estate agent and designer Cindi Karamzadeh, which still focuses on the luxury real estate market.
Lauren is leaving The Oppenheim Group
Lauren has decided to leave The Oppenheim Group while filming for Selling The OC season 4 gets underway. She’s the standout star of the real estate show from Southern California who shared her journey of sobriety with viewers, who had moved to Orange County for the last decade and brought her beach cities expertise to her job.
The Oppenheim Group has already removed her bio, and she won’t be appearing on the new season at all. During her time on the show, Lauren married Andrew Shortt and made hundreds of millions in sales, but she didn’t have it easy growing up. Lauren was raised in Hawthorne, south of LA, and used her uncle’s address to go to school in the more “affluent” neighborhood of Palos Verdes.

She liked to hear the gossip, but never got involved. She told Tudum: “As far as actually being a part of it… I’m not here for it. In the program of recovery I work, it’s important for me, in order to maintain my sobriety, to be completely honest at all times and to be loving and kind.” The old Lauren would have been “up in the mix,” but this Lauren has “worked way too hard” on her recovery to embrace “petty” problems.
She’s joining a new real estate firm
Lauren has now launched a real estate firm of her own, with Cindi. They’ve both got over 300 million dollars in sales combined and have called their company Cindi and Lauren, which is based in Orange County. Looks like her fellow cast members will have some competition when it comes to their Orange County listings…
They will be helping new clients with selling, and that’ll include using their design skills. Their website has already got a few testimonials on it, with an aim to “help build your home’s equity through their design expertise and market knowledge.” It goes without saying that we’ll miss Lauren being a drama-free queen.
