All the messy drama that went down with Scott and Kady including him getting ARRESTED

Here’s a reminder as he quits All Stars

After making the decision to quit Love Island, Scott Thomas spoke about his ex Kady McDermott in his All Stars exit interview.

“The first time I did this show I had that instant connection with someone, and it made everything so much easier,” he told Maya Jama.

She then asked: “Could that maybe have been the downfall then? Having your first experience, hitting it off straight away with Kady pretty much, and then coming in and maybe expecting the same and it not happening?”

“Yeah, I think I took it for granted the first time round. To find someone you’ve got that – I call it fireworks. I had a connection with Tina but it wasn’t fireworks, and yeah, it feels like the right decision.”

If they had such a strong connection, why did Scott and Kady break up?! Here’s a full recap of all the messy drama that went down.

Scott spent the night in a jail cell

After making it to the Love Island final and coming in third place, Scott and Kady stayed together for almost a year before breaking up for the first time in June 2017. They split after he was arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police told The Sun at the time: “Shortly after 4:35am on Saturday 24 June 2017, police were called to reports of a domestic incident at an address in Stockport.”

“Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of assault. He was later released without charge and no further action will be taken.”

A source close to the couple said Scott came into the house drunk and they had a huge argument which resulted in “some pushing and shoving”.

“Kady called the police and Scott spent the rest of the night in a cell. It was blown out of proportion and they were both really embarrassed the next day,” the insider said.

However, they claimed Scott’s behaviour was a “complete one-off” and he’s not like that at all, adding: “It was just a drunken row that got blown out of hand.”

They got back together then split for good

After that, the pair got back together for a few months, but split for good in December 2017.

“Scott and Kady have split again. Their relationship was really fiery and they couldn’t stop arguing — they just weren’t getting on at all,” a source told The Sun.

Kady later told OK! he had invited a group of mates over to drink when she had to be up early the next day. She asked them to leave as they were making a lot of noise and they refused.

“They were making a racket and being really rude to me in my own house and when I asked them to leave they wouldn’t. They were swearing at me too,” she said. “That night was the end of their relationship.”

It ‘didn’t end well’ between them

In an interview with Closer before going on All Stars, Scott said they haven’t seen each other for at least five years and admitted it “didn’t end well” between them.

When asked what would happen if he saw her, he said: “It didn’t end in the best way possible. I don’t know how I would be if I saw her. I don’t know how she would be if she saw me. That’s the honest truth.”

“I don’t have any bad energy towards her, but it didn’t end well. It’s like a weird part of your life that’s kind of been closed off and you haven’t ever revisited it, so it would be interesting and a special moment, I’m sure.”

Scott decided to give up alcohol in 2020 because he didn’t like the person he was when he drank. He has now been sober since December 2022.
