Has anyone else been completely distracted by that thing Ronnie Vint does with his tongue on Love Island All Stars? Honestly, tell me I’m not the only one. Please!

At lot of the time when Ronnie is on camera, he can be seen slightly sticking his tongue out to each side. Someone on TikTok has made a compilation video of him doing it, and turns out, it’s been a lot of times! What he seems to do is just stick his tongue slightly out to one corner of his mouth, and then repeat on the other side. Like clockwork, he does it in most conversations.

Apparently he did it in the Love Island 2024 villa, too. “I noticed this last season and it’s all I see now,” one person said. “I thought I was the only one noticing,” another added.

So what is he doing? In the comments of the TikTok sharing when Ronnie does it on Love Island, someone said what he is doing is called “stimming.” Stimming is a type of self-stimulatory behaviour. According to the NHS, people “stim” as a way to channel and manage excess energy and to self soothe.

It can be a variety of different, repeated movements. People quite often “stim” to manage their emotions. It can be anything from rocking back and forth to hand flapping, or something like constant movement of the tongue. Whilst stimming is often associated with autism, it’s very normal for anyone to stim in certain social situations.

Of course, it’s not been confirmed this is what Ronnie is doing, but it would make sense. The villa is a very heightened environment for emotions, so it could be expected that it’s very intense for people.
