Scott straight up admitted he had a ‘secret girlfriend’ right before Love Island All Stars

Scott Thomas has admitted he had a girlfriend right before he headed off to South Africa for Love Island All Stars. I need to know when the casting process takes place, because this sounds TIGHT.

Speaking to The Tab ahead of going into the Love Island All Stars villa, Scott said becoming sober has really changed his dating life. “I’m two years sober,” he said. “I’ve found sober dating difficult, it’s intense.” He said he was a “party boy” before, but is now ready to “have the best Scott to give someone.”

Opening up more about his recent dating life, Scott admitted he had a “secret” girlfriend, who he was dating up until very recently. “I was seeing someone,” he said. “It ended about six months ago. We kept it very, very secret.” He said they hadn’t put an “official” label on things, and it became a bit more of a friendship towards the end.

Scott said he’s never officially dated anyone from Love Island since Kady McDermott, so we shouldn’t expect the ex to be anyone who could walk into the villa. Series two couple Kady and Scott were together for a year after the show in 2016. They moved in together, but broke up in 2017 after an “explosive row” at their home.

Scott was also romantically linked to Mary Bedford from the 2022 series of Love Island. However they never confirmed or denied their relationship. Now, Scott saying he’s never dated an Islander appears to be a firm denial of this.

Speaking to The Tab, Scott added: “I’m in my prime now, I have the best Scott to give to someone. I’ve never put much energy into relationships and dating – now I’ll put the work in.” Well, he had a brief thing with new bombshell Tina Stinnes whilst they were on series two, so maybe the drama will begin there!

On the note of dating, ITV has always said Islanders are single at the time they are casted. This time, I think you’ve gotten away with it, Scott!
