Kim Kardashian is being dragged for promoting SKIMS during the LA fires

While fires burned through Los Angeles, Kim Kardashian was reminding us all to shop SKIMS in the winter sale. People are not very impressed with this behaviour.

Kim Kardashian’s shapewear company SKIMS has posted four times over the last week about their new 50 per cent off sale.

Kim reshared one of these posts on her story on Wednesday, along with a countdown to the precise moment when the sale began.

Meanwhile, 180,000 people across Los Angeles were under evacuation orders because of the fires. One of the fires (the Kenneth fire) was expanding to 1,000 acres, very near to Kim Kardashian and her family’s mansions in the Hidden Hills.

People were not impressed with Kim Kardashians’ behaviour at this time.

An Instagram user wrote, “Kim, there’s people that are dying.” And added a fire emoji.

Someone commented on Instagram, “Imagine still promoting a sale when LA is burning and people are losing their homes.”

“They make me sick,” someone wrote on Saturday, “KK hasn’t even posted anything until today, and she’s asking us to donate, yes the billionaire is asking the working class to donate.”

Although, someone else wrote, “We are in Europe, nothing is burning here and we want SKIMS sale.”

This week, Kim Kardashian also posted behind-the-scenes pictures from the music video for her cover of the song Santa Baby, in which she twerked in front of a Christmas tree while seemingly wearing SKIMS shapewear.

People weren’t very impressed with that either. Instagram users commented, “Girl, read the room, there’s a fire going on outside!” and “How do you feel about your water usage now?”

Kim Kardashian was also called out this week for her past “wasteful” behaviour – the city authorities previously fined her for using 232,000 gallons of water more than the limit.

Kim Kardashian has since started posting about the Los Angeles fires on her Instagram story. She decided to personally thank the firefighters and she called for the governer of California to pay the firefighters who have previously been in prison more money.
