Here’s where to find the secret Squid Game minigame on Google

It’s the non-lethal version of Red Light, Green Light

Squid Game season two has been out for literally 24 hours and has already launched itself at first place on the Netflix top 10 charts. After phenomenal success in its first season, prompting Squid Game: The Challenge, MrBeast’s Beast Games and even a Squid Game rave, season two has come back with a bang. If you binge-watched the entire series already, I’m slightly concerned, but don’t worry! Your appetite for more Squid Game content can be soothed with the fun minigame Google created.

How to find the Squid Game minigame on Google

The minigame is very easy to get to. All you need to do is type “Squid Game” into the Google search bar, and hit enter. A very familiar looking card will appear.

The card, with a circle, triangle and square, just like in Squid Game, will appear floating at the bottom of the screen and will even flip over like so.

Click on the card, and you’ll be directed to play a game of Red Light, Green Light, controlled by an O and X. You press O to make six little characters move, and X to stop them walking when the insanely creepy doll turns her head around. She sings her little Red Light, Green Light song and eliminates anyone if they’re still moving after she turns to face you. Man, if looks could kill!

When is Squid Game season three coming out?

The next season of Squid Game is coming way sooner than we thought. The show’s creator Hwang Dong-hyuk actually wrote the script for both season two and season three at the same time and filmed them one after another. So, filming has already wrapped for season three. Netflix has announced they’ll bless our screens with Squid Game season three in 2025.

Hwang Dong-hyuk told Variety, “I believe we will be announcing the launch date for Season 3 soon. I probably expect that to launch around summer or fall next year.”

Squid Game is available on Netflix now. For all the latest Netflix news, drops, quizzes and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
