The whopping amount MrBeast spent on Beast Games compared to Netflix’s Squid Game budget
I know which one I’d rather go on
Squid Game is one of Netflix’s most successful TV shows ever produced, and it’s not hard to see why. The second season is more nail-biting than ever, but what happened in between season one and season two’s release was actually wilder. YouTube legend MrBeast recreated the entire Squid Game set for his own Beast Games series which aired earlier in December on Amazon Prime, and it came with a HUGE prize win of $5,000,000 and no risk of death which is always a plus. Despite breaking the world record for the largest cash prize in TV history, the show’s budget is even more impressive, especially compared with Squid Game season one’s budget.
How much did Squid Game actually cost to make
The budget for Squid Game season one was approximately $21.4 million, with each episode getting around $2.4 million for production. After it was released it became Netflix’s highest-streamed show ever. Woop!
Here’s how much more Beast Games cost
The first two episodes of Beast Games were released on Amazon last week, with thousands of dollars worth of cash prizes already being given out in the first episode alone. The insane budget of Beast Games set MrBeast back $100 million dollars, and that doesn’t even include the prize money and wild gifts he’s giving away, including a Lamborghini and a private island. That means MrBeast spent nearly FIVE TIMES the amount on Beast Games than Netflix spent on the actual show, Squid Game.
