These five celebrities were all asked to go on I’m A Celeb but flat out refused
The jungle wasn’t for them
Most celebrities snap up the opportunity to go on I’m A Celeb to give themself the ultimate challenge and boost their career.
However, there are some who have been asked to go on the show over the years but turned it down.
Here are all the people who have spoken out about their refusal to go into the jungle – and why they didn’t want to do it.
Piers Morgan
In a 2021 column in the Daily Mail, Piers Morgan said: “Let me make one thing crystal clear: there’s no way I’m ever exposing myself to a series of ghastly gastronomic humiliations for the delectation of the British public. When I munch kangaroo testicles, I do so in the privacy of my home.”
Judge Rinder
Famous TV barrister Judge Rinder told Telly Mix that we’ll never see him in the Australian jungle, saying: “I only did Strictly because that was completely different and because dancing was my love. You won’t see me devouring kangaroo bollocks.”
Lisa Riley
Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley told the Daily Star that she gets asked “every year” but argued: “I don’t know if that’s good telly. I’d be my usual confident self. I’d be doing dance routines around the fire. I think you put me in a tank of cockroaches, I could probably do that okay. I don’t know, but you never know, but I’m certainly not going in this year, that’s for a fact!”
James Arthur

In 2016, singer James Arthur told the Daily Star he was offered “life-changing amounts of money” to go on Big Brother and I’m A Celeb but said: “It was a great option for me and my family but I wanted to stay true to my music and I am proud of that decision.”
Warwick Davis
In an interview with the Radio Times in 2015, Warwick Davis said doing the jungle just wouldn’t add anything to his career: “I’m a Celebrity… I just didn’t fancy it, not because of the challenge of going into the jungle, but because I only choose to do stuff that I think will help move me forward.”
