Taylor Swift Reputation theories

Get your tinfoil hats on: All the theories Taylor is about to drop Reputation (Taylor’s Version)

Her mates have changed their Instagram pictures black and white…

| UPDATED

If there’s one thing that sends Taylor Swift fans into ultimate meltdown, it’s when the Swifties get wind of a theory that she’s about to drop a new Taylor’s Version. There are only two TVs left to come: her self titled debut and Reputation. It’s the accepted assumption that Reputation is next following last year’s 1989, with Taylor rounding off the project with a her first record. So when is Reputation Taylor’s Version coming? The Reputation theories on when Taylor Swift will drop it are coming thick and fast and the latest is the most believable yet – so here’s a rundown of them all.

Taylor’s ‘inner circle’ changed their Instagram profile pictures over the weekend

The latest theory is that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is coming because a load of Taylor’s close friends and her boyfriend Travis Kelce have all changed their Insta pics to black and white. The original album cover for Reputation famously has a black and white colour scheme.

Taylor has been constantly wearing green

For most of 2024 so far, Taylor Swift has been pictured constantly wearing green. Because the theme of Reputation is “snakes”, fans think the use of green is a reference to the snake imagery of the album era. She wore green at the Golden Globes and out and about when she’s been papped.

Is she… hissing?

In a tweet following her TIME interview, Taylor Swift put capital letter S in trust issues – which had fans speculating theories she was hissing, again harking back to the snake imagery of the Reputation album era.

Or is it a new song?

This honing in on trust issues could also be Taylor Swift signalling this might be a track from the vault featured on the rerelease. Only time will tell – but I think we should be seeing an announcement of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) within the first few months of 2024.
