Speaking to The Sun, Jake has opened up about his struggled with fame and that he wishes people didn’t know who he was. He said: “It’s nice being in the limelight and people speaking to you and that kind of thing but sometimes you do think, ‘I wish people would just not know me’ so you could just relax.”

Since leaving the show, Jake has opened up three of his own businesses and said it keeps him busy. Despite not settling into fame well, Jake still speaks to his fellow famous pals. He said: “I speak to the lads and a couple of girls now and again but I don’t speak to Liberty.”

Jake Cornish isn’t the only Love Island star to reveal they have been struggling since leaving the villa. Faye Winter, who was on the same season as Jake, has spoken candidly about her struggles with mental health after leaving the show. Faye said she still had “dark days” she feels she will “never get away from” after receiving heavy trolling.

Mary Bedford has also opened up about her struggles after leaving Love Island. After she got dumped from the villa, Mary said she regretted going on the show for a few months due to being dumped from the villa so quickly.
