Roisin LaniganYork is the 20th best university in the UK says new rankings released today from the Sunday Times.
We’ve slid three places since last year when we ranked 17th – but at least we rate highly for student satisfaction, at 4.14 out of a possible 5.
Our research quality also ranked highly, as did honours, with over 80 per cent of us expected to graduate with a 2.2 or 2.1.
We performed best in Archeology, Chemistry, and languages, with French and Italian among our best degrees. Humanities also did well, with History and English ranked in the top 10.
