Shia LaBeouf filmed ‘squaring up’ to Edinburgh local after night out in Cowgate
Footage shows him being held back and shouting ‘I’m I’m right here, motherf**kers’
Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf was filmed in Edinburgh’s Cowgate during a confrontation with a group of late night revelers on Wednesday night.
The Transformers star was seen outside popular bar OX184, lifting his fists to the group and shouting “let’s go” and “I’m right here, motherf**kers”.
Taken opposite student clubs La Belle and Stramash, the footage then shows Shia being held back from escalating the confrontation, before he begins to storm off. He then returns seconds later, throwing his cap to the ground and continuing to shout.
In the video shared on social media, Shia can be seen telling an unknown man in a white t-shirt “I’m right here, I’m by myself.” Another unknown man then stands between the two men and appears to be trying to diffuse the tension, before Shia begins to walk away.
But after being followed by the man in white, a number of men intervene and try to get between the two men. Shia then turns around and returns to the middle of the cobbled street and can be heard shouting “I’m right here” at a group of men.
Stood in the middle of the road, he throws his cap off and gesticulates wildly at the ground and towards an unknown group of men, saying: “I’m right here though. You and me, let’s go.”
A number of men intervene again and walk Shia and the unknown man apart, with one wrapping his arms around Shia’s body before the A-Lister walks off.
The footage of the incident was captured in one of Edinburgh’s party hotspots, Cowgate, outside the popular bar OX184 on Wednesday night. The bar is located beside College Wynd student accommodation and opposite popular student clubs La Belle and Stramash
LaBeouf was in Edinburgh while his wife, Mia Goth, was working on Guillermo del Toro’s new Frankenstein movie. He has been spotted around Edinburgh multiple times with fans taking pictures and videos with the Fury and Indiana Jones star.
He has reportedly been spotted in popular Edinburgh haunts like WhistleBinkies and Ensign Ewart.
Many of Mia Goth’s co-stars have been spotted across Scotland with filming taking place at a number of locations including Glasgow Cathedral. Christopher Waltz of Inglorious Bastards fame was spotted at last weeks Old Firm game at Parkhead while LaBeouf was also spotted in various Glasgow eateries.
Shia Labeouf has been approached for comment.
