For me it’s a personal thing about how technology is negatively affecting me. It’s about reflecting on how my social media usage (TikTok) is affecting my life and resetting that in a more healthy way. I probably need to rewatch The Social Dilemma.

Durham charity shops. Find me browsing the coats to add to my ridiculously large coat/blazer collection (you can never have too many).

What advice would you give to someone wanting to be a part of DUCFS?
I volunteered in both my first and second year so I would definitely say get involved as much as possible and learn more about what DUCFS actually involves. This will really help your application.

What your role actually does and why you chose to do it
Perhaps a couple more hours than you would expect spent editing…
I chose to do it because I enjoy making videos (cliché and obvious, sorry). Either way, from a creative standpoint I don’t know that there are many other Durham organisations quite like DUCFS.
What’s the soundtrack to your life?
Whatever track I’m editing to (since I’ll be continously hearing excerpts for weeks at a time). If not, it’s music I’d like to edit a video to. Plenty of Flume, and for a more niche version cf MEUTE x Flume.
