The joint rugby team of THREE CAMBRIDGE COLLEGES has been BANNED INDEFINITELY from the Mahal, following a mercilessly messy social.

The CCK rugby team, comprised of students from Clare, Corpus Christi and King’s colleges, caused a right scrum in the notorious curry house last week leaving them barred from the hallowed Mill Lane eatery.

The ban-inducing debauchery included saturating a tablecloth with wine and HURLING it at neighbouring diners, who were taking part in RAG’s pyjama pub crawl. Before long, several downed bottles of wine had been hastily regurgitated into toilets, sinks and urinals. However, the rugby boys weren’t the only ones smashed as glasses were thrown at walls, littering the floor with sharp shards.

In response, the team were given their harshest penalty yet when the owners of the Mahal told the lads in no uncertain terms that they were NEVER to return.

Not letting the ban cramp their style, the CCK continued their rampage through the streets of Cambridge, “verbally abusing Sidney freshers” in the words of one second year member of the team, who asked not to be named. The same player remarked of the evening’s affair, “it was otherwise a quiet night.”

Better try harder next time boys…
