Nobody Wants This first kiss bag

Adam Brody didn’t get why the bag was on floor during *that* kiss scene in Nobody Wants This

‘I still think it’s weird’

There’s no doubt that as far as first kiss scenes go, the one in Nobody Wants This set all our hearts racing a bit, but I’ll be honest my main concern was the bag. Whilst I understand the ice cream being taken away, that bag was absolutely minuscule and could have been kept on – anyone could have easily walked past and stolen it.

Well, it seems I’m not the only one confused about why Joanne put her bag down on the floor before her first kiss with Noah in Nobody Wants This, as both Kristen Bell and Adam Brody don’t get it either.

In an interview with Armchair Expert, Adam Brody revealed that he had an issue with his character asking Joanna to “put her bag down” during the scene. He explained: “Speaking of the kiss, it doesn’t really register in the show, so it doesn’t really matter, but I still think it’s weird.

“I’m like, give me your ice cream. I’m on board with that. And then I’m like, put down your bag, right? No, take your little purse off. Okay, put it on the street while we’re gonna close our eyes and make out for a minute?”

Kristen Bell was also concerned about the bag being left unattended, but added that in the original script it was a massive bag, explaining: “Okay, in the cut, I will give it to you, you’re 100 per cent right.”

Adam added: “It was a little bag, it wasn’t in the way! I just feel like it’s on the ground and we’re not watching it.” So if you’re doing a romantic first kiss on the street, please be mindful of your bag!
