After Molly and Tommy’s split, here’s a recap of every Love Island 2019 couple that broke up
It’s official – every 2019 couple is over
Love Island fans, I know it’s been a rough few days for you so I hate to pile on the bad news, but Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury’s break up means that there are officially no couples still together from the 2019 series. It’s been a while since then, so, if you can bear a recap of all the Love Island 2019 couples that’ve broken up in the last five years, let’s take a trip down memory lane…
Chris and Harley
Chis and Harley’s “relationship” was the shortest of any on this list. They weren’t officially coupled on during their time on the show, but began dating after returning to the UK. It was all over just as soon as it had begun, with them splitting up in August, just two weeks after the show ended.
Maura and Curtis
Maura and Curtis were the surprise couple during the 2019 Love Island series, and were fan favourites thereafter too. They made things official just a few months after the series ended. Fans were disappointed when their relationship came to an end after a brief period in March 2020.
Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea
2019 Love Island winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea broke up in September 2020. Greg blamed scheduling issues for the break up but Amber said later in an interview with Loose Women: “The careers and the distance was always a factor, like it was always something that we knew about. So I don’t know what changed, and I kinda wanted to make it work, but it is what it is really.”
Jourdan Raine and Danny Williams
Both Jourdan and Danny only had a brief period in the villa during their series, however they coupled up for real after returning to the UK. They moved in together and even spoke in interviews about the possibility of marriage. Despite everything, it didn’t work out for the pair and they announced their decision to end their relationship in November 2019.
Belle Hassan and Anton Danyluk
The odds were stacked against Belle and Anton from the very start. With Anton living in Scotland, and Belle in London – it was always going to be tricky for them. Not long after the show ended, they announced they’d broken up. Why? Due to distance and schedules.
Ovie Soko and India Reynolds
Ovie was a fan favourite during the 2019 Love Island series from the moment that he stepped into the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell. The basketball player charmed fans with his hilarious personality and seemed as if he was a ready made star. When India entered the villa a few weeks later, she beelined for Ovie. Their relationship ended amicably in October 2019, being yet another of coupling from that series that fell foul to scheduling issues.
Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt
Lucie and Joe both left the villa early on in the 2019 series. They were that series’ on and off again couple, but the pair didn’t last. In 2020 however, Lucie announced she was seeing 2019 winter Love Island winner Luke Mabbot.
