Famous friends and launching a music career: Inside Mckenna Grace’s vibey life as an actor
Paige might have left Young Sheldon but Mckenna isn’t going anywhere
Mckenna Grace has so many film and TV credits to her name in her short life yet it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where you know her from. She’s played Paige in Young Sheldon, got her breakout role alongside Chris Evans in Gifted, and she’s even starred in two of the new Ghostbusters movies.
Aside from her impressive acting credits, Mckenna Grace has a pretty vibey life in itself. She’s regularly posting TikToks with every teen actor under the sun, wowing everyone on red carpets and has even begun to release her own music! She’s booked and busy, and we can’t get enough of it. So, here’s a look inside the vibey life of Mckenna Grace:
McKenna was born in Texas but now lives in LA
@mckennagrace welp.
Mckenna is an only child and was born in Grapevine, Texas. She did pageants before she became an actress, winning Tiny Miss Texas in 2009 when she was three years old. She’s been homeschooled her whole life, and recalls begging her mum to let her be an actress aged four, and was so dedicated that she convinced her parents to let her try out acting by age five, when they moved to LA where her dad worked as an orthopedic surgeon.
She’s already been acting for 13 years, and she’s only 17!
@mckennagrace 🧏🏼♀️🤫 who ya gonna call?😏
The teen actress has more than a whopping 70 credits to her name, from one of her first roles in Disney XD’s Crash and Bernstein to her most recent role in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. She’s said that she loves acting so much that sometimes she feels like she’s “just a fan that sneaks onto sets.”

She released her debut single Haunted House and its music video in 2021 and has since released a total 25 songs. Haunted House featured in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and she also wrote Bark to the Beat for PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
Her music is FILLED with references to teendom and girlhood and is a total vibe with its mix of moody pop, folk and even some pop-rock. Her spotify bio is iconic, summing up her music with “I love being a delusional teenage girl, it’s so fun.” The songs are the perfect combination of teenage angst; Bittersweet 16 talks about having a broken heart, while do all my friends hate me? talks about social anxiety.

She’s had major spine surgery
@mckennagrace Shoutout to my barber dawg🤩🤭💯💯 Just had my 3 month post surgery check up and am officially cleared to do anything:) can’t wait to put back on a proton pack and get to work🫶🏻 thanks Dr. Skaggs #scoliosis
When Mckenna was 12, her father noticed that she may have scoliosis, and he was later proven right when this was confirmed by a doctor. She struggled as the curve on her spine developed, and when her parents took her to meet a doctor for surgery, her spine had a 50-degree curvature. Thankully, the surgery was a success and she has now recovered. “The past four years have been a super weird struggle and I’m so happy to be on the other side of it,” she said in a caption on a TikTok about her scoliosis.
The actress is obsessed with her dogs
Aren’t we all? But Mckenna has taken this a step further, and the music video for her most recent release Gentleman featured some ADORABLE shots of puppies, when she recreates iconic romcom scenes with dogs. From her recreating the (500) Days of Summer line “I love the Smiths” with a puppy to two dogs set up like they’re in Romeo and Juliet, the video is so iconic. In an interview with Billboard about the music video, Mckenna said: “It’s really just movies and puppies. And that’s me.” We’re obsessed.
