Richard defends his explicit MAFS comments about intimacy with Andrea: ‘Just a bit of fun’

Richard and Andrea decided to leave MAFS Australia 2024 last night after the cracks in their relationship proved too much, their relationship had been going great but some explicit comments he made about her set it completely off course.

In a previous MAFS Australia 2024 commitment ceremony, Andrea was talking about how she hadn’t been happy about the way Richard had spoken so explicitly about their sex life, and what Richard did say about her had previously been cut from the UK airing of the show on E4.

Richard told the group in the cut comment: “We did intimacy week the week before intimacy week. We gazed, we hugged, we fucked, we shagged, we did everything. We did the whole lot.”

Andrea then later expressed her dislike for Richard saying the couple had “gazed” and “engaged in licking”. She also said she didn’t like the way Richard had told the group how often a day they were intimate. “I felt disrespected,” she told the experts. “I felt like my bubble burst.” Richard then said he was “gutted” about how his openness had made Andrea feel, but between them they accepted Richard wasn’t aware his actions would upset Andrea, and they could still move forward together.

But now Richard has come forward to defend his comments about Andrea, saying that because it’s MAFS Australia 2024 it’s supposed to be a bit of fun.” He spoke to Yahoo! Australia’s podcast Behind The Edit explaining: “I normally wouldn’t say under the spotlight we shagged and we fucked and we had a great week. I don’t go round talking about my sex life like that to anybody, it’s a show man, it’s intimacy week.

“It’s MAFS, like what do you mean, let’s go with it and have a bit of fun. It was intimacy week. This was the context in which I said this, it wasn’t just out of the blue as if I’m with a group of friends.”
