IShowSpeed has broken the internet once again, and this time it’s be accidentally flashing his viewers during a Twitch livestream. The streamer has amassed an impressive 20 million-strong fanbase and has met the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and X, but how did he do it?

So, who is IShowSpeed? From screaming at people to meeting his idol, here’s a look inside IShowSpeed’s rise to fame and X life.

IShowSpeed is 18 years old from Ohio

Born Darren Watkins Jr, IShowSpeed is an 18-year-old YouTuber from Ohio. Prior to his internet fame, Darren worked at a nursing home, delivering food to elderly patients.

He began posting YouTube videos as far back as 2016, uploading videos of games like Fortnite during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He rose to fame through TikTok

As Speed began posting regularly onto YouTube, his subscribers rose after posting humorous videos of himself in front of the camera. He began posted snippets of his videos on TikTok and you guessed it, he went viral. Since then, he has amassed an impressive 19.5 million subscriber count on YouTube, and has even won streaming awards.

IShowSpeed also dabbles in music

Streaming isn’t the only thing Speed has done in his career, and in August 2021, he released his first official single called Dooty Booty. He followed up with his next single, Shake.

His most streamed song is titled World Cup, which he released during the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The single has gained over 61 million streams on Spotify alone.

He is a life-long fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and he went insane when he met him

If you’re a fan of Speed, you’ll most definitely know who he is a fan of. Speed released a song called Ronaldo (SEWY) and in his various videos, he often talks about him. He attempted to meet the footballer on numerous occasions, included visiting Old Trafford twice flying to Qatar for the World Cup, but failed.

However in June 2023, Speed met Ronaldo in Lisbon after the Euro 2024 qualifying match between Portugal and Bosnia and Herzegovnia.
