This Morning saga continues: Schofe’s been sinking pints and Holly’s had a HUGE pay rise

Phillip Schofield has emerged from his cave of shame this week and has been papped multiple times out and about just living his life. There’s been so many tidbits of drama that you’d been forgiven for not being able to keep up with it all. From Phillip sinking pints at the pub to Holly getting a fuck-off pay rise, here’s a rundown of exactly what’s gone on this week:

Schofe is living his best life wining and dining with friends

There is apparently still room to have fun in the life of a disgraced TV personality as last week Schofe was seen out for dinner with friend and former colleague Vanessa Feltz.  The pair were spotted by the Daily Mail hugging outside West London restaurant Little Bird on Monday night. Then this week he braved the outside world again, taking a trip to the pub with an unidentified friend where he enjoyed a Bloody Mary and a burger. Yum yum. What was missing from the pap shots of his trip to the pub thought was his beloved Lost Mary, hope they haven’t fallen out x

A new presenter has been confirmed for This Morning and he’s gawjuss

Schofield’s replacement has finally been confirmed and it did not disappoint. None other than Wale’s finest Steve Jones will be joining This Morning as Phil’s replacement. Steve made his start on T4 back in the day but girly pops will recognise him as the hunky interior designer from Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Steve will make his first appearance on the show tomorrow alongside Josie Gibson but show bosses are apparently eager for him to join Holly full-time. As long as he occasionally takes his shirt off then I’ll all for it.

Phillip fears he’ll ‘never work again’ and that his career is OVER

Despite seemingly in high spirits and having an active social life again, sources close to Phillip Schofield have said that he is feeling “very down” and fears he’ll “never work again”. A friend of Phillip’s is said to have told MailOnline: “Phillip has been very, very down recently. He doesn’t know how he is going to work again. Phillip is pretty sure that he is done.

“He keeps saying he will never work again. It’s devastating for him to realise but he also knows that there is not a lot he can do about it. He doesn’t know who will take him. He knows there is no way back to ITV or the BBC.”

He’s also lost over 10,000 followers in the past month

Before the revelations of his “unwise but not illegal” affair, Schofe was very active on social media, particularly Instagram. He would often post photos of trips he had taken, spending time with his friends and family and just snaps of his day to day life. But since he’s practically gone into hiding, he’s stopped posting on Insta and has lost 10,740 followers in the past 30 days taking his follower count down to 2,928,114. Still a fuck ton though isn’t it.

Meanwhile, Holly’s got a pay rise!

Whilst Phillip’s seen better days, Holly is now set to be making a seven figure salary. The Daily Mail reported that Holly’s contract with ITV had been revamped and that upon her return from her annual Summer break from the show, she’ll be set for a £300,000 increase to her already £700,000 yearly salary. Alright for some.
