‘No morals’: People are fuming at Rihanna for including Johnny Depp in her upcoming show

Fenty ambassadors are tearing up their contracts

Johnny Depp will reportedly become the first man to have a spotlight segment in the upcoming Savage X Fenty fashion show – and people aren’t happy.

The actor was at the centre of a very public, very messy court battle back in May, after he accused ex-wife Amber Heard of defamation. Amber had written an article in the Washington Post, calling herself a “public figure representing domestic abuse”. She was found liable on three counts of defaming the actor; while he was found to have defamed her once in a countersuit.

Fans and ambassadors of Rihanna’s brand have called on her to reverse her decision, seeing as the case caused significant damage to Amber’s career, even though herself and Johnny were both liable.

According to TMZ, the actor will model clothes in the show’s “star” moment, which has previously featured Erykah Badu and Cindy Crawford. While he’s reportedly already filmed his part, the show will be made available to stream on Amazon Prime next week (9th November).

Once the news was made public, people called the move “embarrassing”.

“She’s disgusting for this,” one former fan tweeted.

“His segment should be cleaning the toilet,” said another.

While Savage X Fenty was once a dream brand for any influencer; ambassadors have decided not to work with it anymore. “So glad I ended my collab agreement,” TikToker (and former Fenty ambassador) Becca Butcher said.

“After this news I won’t be wearing (Savage X Fenty) anymore,” actor Olly Alexander tweeted.

Other users, however, are pleased to see him assume the role. “She’s supporting one of the best actors – stay mad,” a fan said.
