Regé-Jean Page is apparently in talks to return for Bridgerton season three

Give the people what we WANT

According to reports, our favourite Duke, Regé-Jean Page, is “in talks” to return to his role for Bridgerton season three. He played the lead in the first season of show, but then left and was not in the second instalment of the Netflix series.

According to The Sun, he may return to the show again, after it was said he had quit to focus on different work projects. A source said: “Rege-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects. But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses. Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space.”

The source continued: “Things are very up in the air at the moment, but this will be an exciting year for Regé, without a doubt.” Honestly, any glimmer of hope is all I need right now.

Rege Jean Page apparently in talks to return as the Duke of Hastings for Bridgerton season three on Netflix

In April last year we were hit with the news that Regé-Jean Page had left Bridgerton. True Bridgerton stans were quick to point out he isn’t in the books beyond the first one, but still, Netflix very rarely sticks to book series it adapts very strictly, and the Duke had became unprecedentedly popular after the show (no guesses as to why).

There were a lot of rumours circulating at the time surrouding his depature. It was reported Regé-Jean Page turned down a pretty impressive sum of £250,000 to appear in the show’s second season. A source close to the show told The Hollywood Reporter he was offered an opportunity to return as a guest star in three to five episodes of season two, but declined for “a multitude of reasons.” He was offered the gig at £50,000 an episode, so if he accepted the top offer of being in five, he would have been paid a quarter of a million pounds for his appearances.

He was thought to have turned down the opportunity as he wanted to focus on his career in film. He has since been in Netflix film The Gray Man and Paramount’s Dungeons and Dragons and, according to The Hollywood Reporter article, had been “flooded” with offers since Bridgerton first aired.

It was later said Page had left the show over a “disagreement with producers” over the future of his character, the Duke of Hastings, and “refused” to come back. Netflix has not yet commented on rumours Regé-Jean Page may return for Bridgerton season three.

I vote yes please!!!!!!
