‘It’s Islamophobic’: Fans are calling Logan Paul out for joking about Zayn Malik

The YouTuber is receiving backlash for racially insensitive comments

Logan Paul is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons, after bashing Zayn on another content creator’s podcast.

On 31st May, Logan interviewed Liam Payne on an episode of Impaulsive – who angered fans by talking about Zayn’s upbringing. “My parents are overly supportive, to the point where it’s annoying at times,” he said. “And Zayn had a different upbringing in that sense.”

Now it seems the YouTuber just can’t keep Zayn’s name out his mouth, talking about him during Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant 2 podcast and questioning his racial identity.

Andrew was the first to bring Zayn up again: “You know? The guy who beats up Gigi Hadid,” he said. “No, not beats her. Curses out her mum or something like that.”

“No, he hit her mum,” Logan replied.

Another podcast guest, AlexxMedia, said “maybe it’s cultural, I don’t know.” When pressed on his comment, he clarified he meant “British culture.”

Talk quickly turned to Zayn’s race, with Andrew asking “where’s he from?” despite just talking about how “he’s British.”

Logan replied, “he’s ethnic,” and the entire room started laughing.

Fans have called Logan racist

“Utterly disgusted,” another fan said. “Not only did they choose to tarnish Zayn and fuel false narratives, the racism???”

“Logan Paul took a jab at Zayn because of Islamophobia,” said a third.

Zayn Malik has previously denied hitting Yolanda Hadid, stating they only argued with “words.”

Logan Paul’s management did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
