It comes as no surprise that most celebrities in Hollywood have managed to make their way to the top by pulling a few strings or knowing the right people. But in some cases, it can mean having a famous parent pull all the strings or having influence in Hollywood to get their child a role in popular TV shows and films. Despite many of us knowing this is how Hollywood works, it always come as a surprise when we find out our famous TV stars are yet again a Hollywood nepotism baby. There are obvious ones we all know like Zoë Kravitz, Lily Rose Depp, and Jade and Willow Smith. However, every now and again people are surprised at some of the nepotism babies that exist and are part of some of our favourite shows and movies.

Timothée Chalamet

A favourite of many, Timothée is the son of Marc Chalamet and Nicole Flender. Timothée has starred in multiple blockbusters, including Call Me by Your Name, Dune and Little Women. His mother Nicole was a Broadway actor and dancer who featured in the erotic thriller In the Heat of Passion. She was also a student at the famous LaGuardia in New York. Nicole’s father, Timothée’s grandfather, Harold Flender was a writer and filmmaker. He wrote the American musical romantic film Paris Blues in 1961, which starred Sidney Poitier.

Maude Apatow

Maude Apatow gained popularity of her role as Lexi in HBO’s Euphoria which led to fans finding out she was the epitome of a nepotism baby in Hollywood. Daughter to actress Leslie Mann and director and writer Judd Apatow. Leslie has starred in the likes of The Other Woman, This is 40, 17 Again and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, with Judd having directed a few of those.

Zoey Deutch

Next on our Hollywood nepotism baby list is none other than Zoey Deutch. Zoey is daughter to American actress Lea Thompson. Lea is best known for her role as Lorraine Baines-McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy and as Beverly Switzler in Howard the Duck. Zoey has featured in multiple films including Before I Fall, Why Him?, and Vampire Academy.

Emma Roberts

Most notably, Emma Roberts’ aunt is none other than Julia Roberts, who is known for her roles in Pretty Woman, Notting Hill and Eat Pray Love to name a few. Emma has starred in multiple TV programmes and popular films like American Horror Story, We’re the Millers and Scream Queens. Despite her aunt being one of the most famous people in Hollywood, her father is also a famous actor. Eric Roberts is best known for playing the lead in King of the Gypsies, for which he received his very first Golden Globe nomination for. He also starred in Suits as Charles Forstman.

Sam Levinson

Euphoria writer Sam Levinson is another Hollywood nepotism baby you probably would not have guessed. His father is Barry Levinson, an American screenwriter, director, actor and producer. He has a net worth of $150 million! His best known work includes Good Morning, Vietnam and he recently co-executively produced and directed Hulu’s Dopesick.

Dakota Johnson

The Fifty Shades of Grey star who is set to star in Netflix’s new film Persuasion, has a long family history filled with famous actors. Dakota’s mother is American actress Melanie Griffith. She achieved mainstream success in the late 80s and 90s for her roles in Lolita, Working Girl and Milk Money. Johnson’s father, Don Johnson is a well known American actor. He won a Golden Globe for playing the role of James ‘Sonny’ Crockett in Miami Vice. He has also starred in Django Unchained and Nash Bridges.

The famous familial ties do not end there, with her grandmother being Tippi Hedren. Hedren is now an animal rights activist but back in the 1960s was an actress and fashion model. She has starred in over 80 films and TV shows, including thriller The Birds, Marnie and Citizen Ruth.

Emily in Paris star Lily Collins is a Hollywood nepotism baby you thought whose surname sounded familiar but couldn’t quite put your finger on it. Lily’s father is famous writer and music producer Phil Collins. His most successful songs include In the Air Tonight, One More Night, and Another Day in Paradise.

Jack Quaid

Son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan is The Boys’s leading man Jack Quaid who plays Hughie Campbell on the Amazon Prime show. Dennis Quaid is best known for his role has Nick Parker on the classic film The Parent Trap, where he stars alongside Lindsey Lohan. His other notable credits include Yours, Mine & Ours, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, and The Intruder.

Jack Quaid’s mother is none other than Annie Reed from Sleepless in Seattle! Meg Ryan has starred in other multiple romantic comedies like When Harry Met Sally and You’ve Got Mail. Imagine having Tom Hanks round for dinner as a kid, it doesn’t get better than that.

Stanger Things star Maya Hawke quite possibly won the parent lottery. Maya’s parents are Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. Uma Thurman is the star of Hollywood classics Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill volume one and two. Ethan Hawke, who has recently starred in Marvel’s Moon Knight is an American actor and director. His breakout role was in Dead Poets Society, and he has since gone on to star in Training Day and Boyhood.

Andie is well known for her roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Groundhog Day and Along for the Ride.
