Love Stranger Things? Here are 12 other shows and films you can watch the cast in
Anything with Steve Harrington and I’m there
Right now, everyone is back in their era of loving Stranger Things. We’ve gone so long without the cast and the show being in our lives that right now I want nothing more than to sit and watch the gang non-stop. So, if you’ve finished Stranger Things 4 and want a little more from the cast, there are plenty of other shows and films you get stuck into.
From gritty TV dramas to horror films, the Stranger Things cast really do try their hands at anything. They’re a versatile and talented bunch, which has meant there is wall-to-wall content to see them in. Here are a bunch of other great TV shows and films where you can catch the cast of Stranger Things. Enjoy!
If you’re a big Netflix fan, you’ve definitely at least heard of Millie Bobby Brown playing the lead in the Enola Holmes movie. It’s Netflix’s very own Sherlock movie, all about Enola Holmes, who has lived in the shadow of her two older brothers – one being the detective Sherlock Holmes. The second film is on the way if you want to catch Millie in it again!
If you love the cast of Stranger Things, the Fear Street trilogy is definitely one of many other films and shows you need to get on watching ASAP. It stars Sadie Sink, Max in Stranger Things, in a prominent role, and Maya Hawke, Robin in Stranger Things, is briefly in the first movie.
Fear Street is a Netflix anthology horror film series based off the book series of the same name by RL Stine. Maya Hawke plays Heather in the first movie and Sadie Sink plays Ziggy in the second. In the second film, campers are left fighting for their lives when a killing spree begins across the camp they are staying in.
Noah Schnapp is in Netflix Halloween film, Hubie Halloween. He plays Tommy, the foster son of Violet who is the love interest of Hubie. The film follows a Halloween-loving deli worker who must save the town of Salem, Massachusetts, from a kidnapper.
Charlie Heaton has starred in a number of British TV series, one being DCI Banks. In 2015, he made his professional acting debut in ITV’s show, playing the role of Gary McCready. DCI Banks follows veteran Detective Chief Inspector, Alan Banks, along with his assistants DS Annie Cabbot and DI Helen Morton, as they investigate murders committed in the town of Eastvale, Yorkshire.
Finn Wolfhard, who you know as Mike Wheeler, plays Trevor in the 2021 film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The synopsis for the film reads: “When a single mother and her two children move to a new town, they soon discover they have a connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”
Joe Keery, who plays Steve in Stranger Things, stars in Free Guy. Jodie Comer is also in the cast, as well as Ryan Reynolds. The film is directed by Stranger Things director and executive producer Shawn Levy and is all about a guy who discovers he’s actually a background player in an open-world video game. Joe Keery plays video game developer Keys, as well as his in-game avatar, “dirty stripper cop.” I’m listening. 👀
David Harbour, who is Hopper in Stranger Things, joins the incredible cast of Black Widow. He stars alongside Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz in the film, and plays The Red Guardian, a soviet superhero who was sent deep undercover in an American family with Natasha, Yelena, and Melina.
If you want to catch David Harbour looking very different, he is *the* Hellboy in the 2019 reboot of the film. Hellboy is a supernatural being, who protects the earth with the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defence. Soon, he faces the Blood Queen, an ancient witch who wants to bring about the end of the world.
Before Stranger Things, one of Winona Ryder’s best known roles is as Lydia Deetz in Tim Burton’s horror-comedy Beetlejuice. The 1988 film follows dead couple Adam and Barbara, who are unsuccessful in scaring away a family that has moved into their old home, so they seek the help of Beetlejuice.
Finn Wolfhard plays a young Richie Tozier in It and It: Chapter Two. The film franchise is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name and tells the story of The Losers’ Club, a group of seven outcast children who are terrorised by the clown, Pennywise.
Velvet Buzzsaw is a satirical slasher-style horror movie, and stars Natalia Dyer, our very own Nancy Wheeler in Stranger Things. She plays Coco, and the synopsis for the film reads: “After paintings by an unknown artist are discovered, a supernatural force enacts revenge on those who have allowed their greed to get in the way of art.”
Hannah Montana: The Movie
A Hannah Montana and Stranger Things crossover? Weird, but sure. Hannah Montana: The Movie was actually Natalia Dyer’s first ever film role, and she plays a teenage girl who idolises Hannah Montana, and then inadvertently stops her journalist dad from exposing Hannah’s true identity.
Stranger Things 4 is available on Netflix now. For all the latest Netflix news, drops, quizzes and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
