These are all the Love Islanders who have degrees

Dr Alex isn’t the only smart cookie

Love Islanders have everything – money, followers, enviable wardrobes and um, degrees? It’s easy to forget before they were snogging each other on national TV some of them were just average students working hard towards their 2:1s and a good time like the rest of us.

Over the years there have been many Islanders who touched on their time at uni. Last season it was Hugo and Chuggs meeting in the villa and realising they actually partied together back at Oxford Brookes. And some Islanders go on the show whilst still at uni, abandoning their plans for a degree in search of love and a Boohoo collection.

As well as all having perfectly chiselled abs and a set of pearly white teeth, many of the Love Island cast have similar degrees. The overwhelming majority of them have either studied something to do with sport or law.

These are all the Love Island cast members who have degrees:

Camilla Thurlow

Degree: Sport and Exercise Science

Camilla Thurlow from the third series of Love Island studied at Loughborough University where she got a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. I’m not going to lie I really can’t see Camilla at Loughborough.

Montana Brown

Degree: Public Relations

Montana had just finished uni when she entered the Love Island villa in 2017. She was studying at Bournemouth University and got her degree in Public Relations, which I guess prepped her pretty well for life as an influencer.

Dr Alex

Degree: Medicine

It’s no surprise Dr Alex is on the list, you can’t really become a doctor without a degree or two.

Dr Alex studied medicine at the University of Exeter on a five year course and then moved onto working as a junior A&E doctor at University Lewisham Hospital in London.

Rosie Williams

Degree: Law

Yes, as in that Rosie who said to Adam Collard exactly what we were all thinking in 2018, has a degree. And of course it’s in Law, cause she knows her shit.

Rosie began her law degree at the University of Swansea before completing her final year at the University of South Wales.

After graduating she went onto the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) but changed her mind and switched to the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at The University of Law in Chester. So by the time she arrived on Love Island she was a fully qualified lawyer.

Charlie Brake

Degree: Sports and Events Management

Season four’s Charlie Brake received a degree in Sports and Events Management from a university in Switzerland. Yes I know, I’m surprised he wasn’t at Oxford Brookes too.

Greg O’Shea

Degree: Law

Love Island winner Greg O’Shea is one of the two winners of the show to have a degree.

Greg has a degree in Law from the University of Limerick and graduated in 2017, two years before he went on the show.

Anna Vakili

Degree: Pharmacy

Before Storm Anna entered the Love Island villa she was working as a pharmacist thanks to her degree in pharmacy which she received from Kingston University.

She got a 2:1 and has been working in the same pharmacy since 2017.

Michael Griffiths

Degree: Biomedical Science

One of the first things we ever learnt about Michael was that he was a firefighter. However Michael actually got his degree in Biomedical Science from Liverpool John Moores University.

He graduated in 2017 and his younger brother followed in his steps by completing the same course at the same uni.

Callum Macleod

Degree: Maths

Remember this guy? Yeah he was booted off first in the 2019 series. Callum was an aircraft engineer with a degree in Maths from the University of South Wales.

Yewande Biala

Degrees: Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Regulation

Probably the smartest person to ever enter the villa was Yewande Biala in season five. She started university at just 16 years old where she started working on her undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from Athlone Institute of Technology.

Yewande then went onto do her masters degree in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Regulation which she got a 2:1 in.

Leanne Amaning

Degrees: Psychology, Occupational Psychology

Giving Yewande a run for her money with two degrees as well is Leanne Amaning from season six of Love Island.

Leanne graduated in 2019 with her masters degree in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham.

Ollie Williams

Degree: Criminology

Ollie Williams studying criminology? Honestly was expecting sports science, but I’m pleasantly surprised. Ollie received his degree from Royal Holloway University in 2018 when he graduated with a 2:2.

Less surprising is that Ollie was captain of the rugby team whilst at uni.

Nas Majeed

Degree: Sports Science

Nas received a first class degree in Sports Science from Brunel University. They really all love studying the science of sport.

Eve Zapico

Degree: Business Management

Eva joined Love Island as part of Casa Amor but is still going strong with Nas today. Eva has a degree in Business Management from University of Nottingham.

She graduated in 2019 and got a 2:1.

Priscilla Anyabu

Degree: International Business

Priscilla also studied at the Brunel University like Nas, maybe they knew each other? Priscilla received a degree in International Business and graduated in 2018.

Demi Jones

Degree: History and Archaeology

I was quite surprised to find out Demi studied archaeology, I don’t know why I just can’t see her digging up bones.

She graduated from the University of Winchester a few months before she went in the Love Island villa with a degree in History and Archaeology.

Aaron Francis

Degree: International Relations and Economics

He wasn’t very successful in the villa but he’s been successful in life. Aaron received a degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of Birmingham in 2019.

Kaz Kamwi

Kaz studied at the Birmingham City University where she received a degree in Sociology.

Hugo Hammond
