Meet the new girlfriend of Love Island star Dr Alex George

Dr Alex George seems to be well past his Love Island days, as he’s confirmed that he’s got a new girlfriend.

The A&E doctor officially launched his relationship on Instagram with a couple of pictures of him and barristers’ clerk Ellie Hecht enjoying a holiday in Cornwall.

One picture shows the pair at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm and is captioned: “The apple of my eye.” Good apple pun, Alex.

The pair have been going out for six months, keeping their relationship private until now.

But who is Ellie Hecht, what does she do and where is she from? Here’s everything we know.

Ellie works as a barristers’ clerk in London

Hecht has worked as a barristers’ clerk in London since 2017, but before that did a number of interesting jobs as well as volunteer work.

In 2016, Ellie worked on the polls for the EU referendum before becoming a retail manager at Estée Lauder for the best part of a year.

She’s also worked as a digital marketing PA for a vintage record store and has been volunteering for a charity called Look Good Feel Better who support the physical and emotional wellbeing of those undergoing cancer treatment.

And it turns out she’s pretty smart

Hecht attended Titus Salt School in West Yorkshire, attaining 13 GCSEs between A*-C.

She seems pretty sporty, as while she was at school she enjoyed netball, rounders and running.

Ellie loves to travel

It looks like Hecht is a fan of travelling as her Instagram shows she’s recently been to the Philippines and Dubai.

What are the pair getting up to now?

Both seem to be off on a mad one in Cornwall visiting booze factories and eating pasties. Unfortunately it looks like Alex had a few too many ciders.

A source close to Alex George told MailOnline: “Alex has had a difficult year, with the passing of his brother, and working nonstop on the frontline.

“His family are so pleased to see him happy in a new relationship.”
