What is going on with Sienna Gomez and Jack Wright? The recent Hype House allegations explained

Sienna has denied sexually assaulting her ex

CW: Sexual assault

TikToker Sienna Gomez has denied sexually assaulting her ex-boyfirend Jack Wright.

The 17-year-old influencer, originally from California, grew to prominence on TikTok by spreading body positivity videos on the app. She now has over 22 million followers over her two accounts.

In the past week, allegations have been made claiming Sienna sexually assaulted her ex-boyfriend Jack Wright, another TikToker. Both Jack and Sienna are linked to TikTok’s Hype House.

Sienna has denied the claims, whilst Jack said: “I don’t want to tear anyone down and only wish healing for everyone involved”.

Here’s a timeline of everything that’s happened with the allegations:

Who is Sienna’s ex-boyfriend Jack Wright?

Fans began to speculate about Sienna’s love life after Jack Wright, a boy Sienna had attended high school with, started to appear heavily in her social media posts, particularly on her TikTok content.

Whilst the pair never confirmed whether that they were an item, their social media posts made many fans believe the two were romantically involved, with posts including footage of them waking up together in the same bed and others showing them kissing.

In recent weeks fans had speculated that whatever had been going on between the pair had finished as Sienna and Jack both unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted a lot of content depicting the other from their profiles, but some posts do still remain.

In a video recently made by Sienna she confirmed that the pair did date for nine months, although they never labelled it, but had now broken up. Sienna said in her video that during their time together she was in love with Jack, but made claims suggesting Jack was using their relationship in order to gain internet fame and following.

How are they both connected with The Hype house?

For those who don’t keep up with the ins and outs of famous TikTokers, The Hype House is the name of a collective of American influencers, mostly teenagers, who all found their fame through the popular video sharing app.

The Hype House collective began in late 2019 with its most prominent members being Dixie D’Amelio and Addison Rae. The group also bought a mansion in Los Angeles which acts as their base and where various members have lived at certain points in time since it began.

Sienna and Jack were not part of the inaugural crew of The Hype House but in recent months have been associated with it, with both posting content to their social media featuring members of the collective, including founding member Chase Hudson.

Sienna announced via a post to her Instagram that she would be a part of the new Netflix show documenting the lives and antiques of The Hype House crew with her caption reading: “thank u thehypehousela for letting me b in ur show even tho I’m not an official member.”

Last week, sexual assault allegations were made

So now we’ve gone over the backstory we can get into the recent allegations that have been made against Sienna. On 30th May, a guy named Mason Rizzo, a childhood friend of Jack Wright, made allegations that Sienna had sexually assaulted Jack.

In a now-deleted tweet, Mason tweeted a screenshot from the notes app in his phone. He said:”I struggle with seeing a girl getting praised after telling my best friend to kill himself and sexually assaulting him numerous times after he set boundaries and then repeatedly wonder why ‘he doesn’t like you back.’”

Jack’s twin brother, James Wright, initially retweeted Mason’s tweet, adding in the comment “This is why I ‘couldn’t just let it go and stay out of it’”, but this tweet has also since been deleted.

Mason deleted his original tweet, but tweeted again saying: “The Wright family, Sienna’s family, and I have decided to delete all information about the situation and handle it off of social media.”, which James then retweeted. Initially, Jack stayed quiet and did not comment on the claims at all.

Sienna made a response video denying allegations

On June 1st, Sienna uploaded an eight minute long video to her YouTube channel entitled “addressing false allegations” where she addressed the allegations made against her by Mason Rizzo.

The video starts with a black screen with the text “I did not sexually assault Jack Wright” followed by a solemn looking Sienna who says: “I unequivocally deny the allegations that I sexually assaulted Jack Wright”.

Sienna then says “this is not an apology video, this is a statement”, claiming she has nothing to apologise for and saying the allegations made against her are false.

Sienna’s main point is that she is only 17 years old and that throughout their nine month long relationship, Jack and her were never intimate with each other. She said: “It’s so uncomfortable and I hate that I have to disclose this but Jack and I never had sex.”

What have Jack and Sienna said now?

Since the publication of her video, a representative for Sienna issued a statement to E! News saying: “Sienna unequivocally denies the charges made by Mason and amplified by James, which have since been withdrawn. She has never sexually assaulted anyone, neither she nor Jack have had sex together. Point.

“Jack is part of her extended family and clearly there are problems that are causing him pain at this point in his personal life. She hopes that Jack has the reassurance he needs to move through these difficult times, but she is not responsible for these problems and is comfortable with the fact that she has been nothing more than a good and loyal friend to Jack since they were young”.

After his initial silence on the matter, Jack has now made a post that he crossposted to his Instagram and TikTok, which said: “While I love sharing my life with all of you, some parts are deeply personal and I have been hesitant to share for my own emotional and mental wellbeing.

“But I will say this. Sexual Assault is a serious matter that has real consequences. Mason and James’ only intention was to protect me with the truth, and I really value their enormous support through this extremely difficult time. I truly encourage my childhood friend Sienna to get the support and help that she needs. I don’t want to tear anyone down and only wish healing for everyone involved.

“I want to thank all of you who have reached out with your love, support and kindness. I am forever grateful”.
