15 years later, what are the cast of Hannah Montana up to now?

It’s been 15 years since the first episode of Hannah Montana aired on Disney Channel, and wow I feel old. It was the show that introduced us to Miley Cyrus and she’s hardly been out of our lives since the show ended, but what about the rest of the cast? Where are they now?

Hannah Montana was easily one of the best Disney Channel shows going with nearly 100 episodes telling the lives of Miley Stewart and her family and friends. There was drama, heart warming moments and of course certified bops such as Best of Both Worlds and Nobody’s Perfect.

Since the show wrapped Miley and her co-stars have been pretty busy. One of them is mates with the Jenners, one got married and another has been arrested.

Unlike the rest of the Hannah Montana cast Miley Cyrus has stayed consistently in the newspaper headlines. After Hannah Montana wrapped Miley starred in the Nicholas Sparks film “The Last Song” where she first met Liam Hemsworth.

Miley then went onto release her album Can’t Be Tamed and starred in the awful/amazing film LOL with Douglas Booth.

Then came the Wrecking Ball era when she released the Bangerz album and the Wrecking Ball music video. It was around this time she became engaged to Liam Hemsworth before they called off their engagement, and Miley dated Patrick Schwarzenegger and Stella Maxwell.

Miley became a coach on The Voice in 2016 and a year later released the banger that is Malibu. She then got married to Liam Hemsworth after their house was lost in a fire in 2018. Sadly they filed for divorce less than a year later and Miley has dated Kaitlynn Carter and Cody Simpson since her divorce.

Her most recent venture has been the release of her album Plastic Hearts and on the 15 year anniversary of Hannah Montana, Miley released a hand written letter thanking Hannah.

Emily Osment – Lilly Truscott

Emily Osment played Miley’s best friend and tomboy Lilly who eventually ended up dating Oliver in the series.

After Hannah Montana ended Emily went onto release her own music and toured for a while. She then mainly pursued acting and has appeared in a number of things including two Beverley Hills Chihuahua movies, Family Guy, Two and Half Men and a Christmas movie called Christmas Wonderland.

Her biggest acting project has been appearing as a recurring character on The Kominsky Method, a series starring Michael Douglas on Netflix.

It was recently announced Emily would be appearing in a new Netflix series starring Gregg Sulkin. Emily appears to live in California with her dog and was last known to be dating Jim Gilbert who is not famous.

Mitchel Musso – Oliver Oken

Mitchel Musso played Miley’s other best friend on the show called Oliver. After Hannah Montana wrapped Mitchel starred in two more Disney shows called Pair of Kings and PrankStars.

However he was taken off both shows after he was charged with a DUI in 2011.

He hasn’t done much acting since the Disney Channel days, with his most recent project being the Phineas and Ferb movie in 2020.

Mitchel has nearly 250k followers on Instagram and doesn’t post much but did share some photos of himself catching up with a few of the Hannah Montana cast members.

Billy Ray Cyrus – Robby Stewart

To most of the world Billy Ray Cyrus is a famous country singer, to those who watched Hannah Montana he is simply Miley’s dad.

Once the show had finished Billy continued to create music and has since released five albums, including the classic single Old Town Road with Lil Nas X.

He’s also continued acting with roles on 90210, Sharknado 2 and had a main role in the series Still The King.

Billy has over two million followers on Instagram and mainly posts a lot of dedication posts to Miley, his five other kids must be a little jealous surely?

Jason Earles – Jackson Stewart

I feel like we all forgot this but Jason Earles was 29 years old when he began to play Miley’s older teenage brother. Now he’s 44 years old and I’m in shock.

He’s mainly been acting in television roles since Hannah Montana finished with his biggest role being in a Disney XD Channel show called Kickin’ It.

In 2017 Jason married Katie Drysen and he’s mainly doing Cameos now which you can request from him for £74.25 per video.

Moisés Arias – Rico Suave

Moisés played Rico the young manager of the beach side concession store. Since the show ended Moisés has had a pretty decent career.

He starred in the movies Ender’s Game, The Kings of Summer and Pitch Perfect 3 amongst many others. He recently appeared in Pete Davidson’s film The King of Staten Island. But now his career is mainly focused on photography and creative direction, whatever that means.

Moisés is part of a big celebrity friendship group that includes Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber and Bella Hadid. He had a little bit of controversy in 2014 when he was 20 years old and photographed shirtless in bed with 13-year-old Willow Smith.

The picture triggered an investigation by Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.

Cody Linley – Jake Ryan

Though Hannah/Miley dated quite a few guys throughout the series, the number one guy was Jake Ryan played by Cody Linley.

Since the end of the show, Cody has appeared in a few things including two Sharknado films and episodes of Melissa and Joey.

He’s now a vegan and lives with his dogs. Cody was sent a bunch of flowers and a note from Hannah Montana to celebrate the 15 year anniversary and my nine year old self can’t handle it.
