Dark Amy Bradley timeline update suggests Netflix got details of disappearance totally wrong
There’s also a completely new theory of what happened
There has been an update in the Amy Bradley case, which has suggested details of her disappearance were portrayed completely wrong in the Netflix documentary.
Amy Bradley Is Missing was released on Netflix last year, and told the story of how she went missing from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 1998.
Amy Bradley was 23 at the time of her disappearance, and was a a recent college graduate. She had been travelling with her family, and on the night she went missing, had been in the club on the ship. Amy was last seen in the early hours of the morning, on March 24th, on the balcony of the family cabin. When her father went to check on her later that morning, she was no longer there.
New details about the timeline of her disappearance have come to light, and they clash with what was portrayed in the Netflix show. It had previously been said that Amy’s father last saw her around 5:30am, and she was gone by 6am.

‘The timeline that we’ve been given is incorrect’
Now, true crime author James Renner, who has thoroughly investigated the case for his new book, has shared a new theory and details. He believes Amy jumped off the boat, after struggling with depression linked to her sexuality and alleged family friction.
He has said that from his research, he found Amy’s aunt, who served as the family’s spokesperson in the weeks after her disappearance, and early police reports and media articles, actually stated Amy was last seen at 4:30am. The writer has claimed the timeline was then changed, later on.
“The timeline that we’ve been given is incorrect, and I think it was designed for a specific purpose,” Renner said, as per The Sun. “If the ship was in the canal in Curacao when Amy disappeared, they almost certainly would have found her body.
“That lends credence to the idea that she was kidnapped and forced into human trafficking. We’ve been told 5:30am was the last time her father saw Amy. But I spoke to Amy’s aunt, Marianne, who was the family’s spokesperson in the weeks immediately after the disappearance.
“She was the one taking notes about all the important facts and then sharing that information with the media. I believe she has the correct timeline, which is 4:30am being the last time Amy was seen.
“That would mean the cruise ship was much farther out at sea. If she went overboard at that time, it would help explain why her body was never found.”
Amy Bradley’s brother Brad has previously spoken out about the theory his sister may have fallen overboard, and he doesn’t believe this is what happened. To this day, nobody knows what happened, but the family still support theories that she might be alive.
