Update: New ‘highly suspicious’ lead on a boat in Barbados linked to Amy Bradley case

We might finally be closer to some answers

There is apparently a new lead in the Amy Bradley case, and it’s linked to a boat in Barbados. After Amy Bradley Is Missing was released on Netflix, creators of the show revealed they’d been overwhelmed with tips regarding the case. Now, more details about the tips are coming in, and the police are said to actually be looking into certain big ones.

Amy Bradley went missing from a Royal Caribbean cruise in 1998. To this day, nobody knows what happened to her. During the Netflix documentary, a bunch of sightings and theories were addressed. Since the show, even more theories and ideas about what happened have been discussed.

In a report from The Hollywood Reporter, it’s said a source close to production of the show has revealed there are currently three big leads that are being actively investigated. They are described as “very significant”. One of note is from a boat that’s been tracked in Barbados. The Royal Caribbean ship Amy went missing from had been between Aruba and Curaçao when she was last seen.

‘That’s obviously highly suspicious’

THR said there has been a new “highly suspicious” hit to the Amy Bradley missing person website. Currently, the site is being professionally monitored for activity with the idea being that Bradley herself may use it as a way of feeling connected with her family.

It was stated in the Netflix doc activity in the Curaçao region has historically spiked around family holidays and occasions. It was also theorised potential captors may use the site to keep up with the investigation.

Through geolocating, a source told THR investigators were able to trace the suspicious hit to the IP address of a device on a boat off the west end of Barbados. “A lot of trafficking of drugs takes place on the water,” the source said. “So that’s obviously highly suspicious.”

In a recent statement about the case, the FBI press office said: “We have nothing further outside of the seeking information poster. Tips can be submitted via 1-800-CALL-FBI or at tips.fbi.gov.”
