‘Hit me baby one more time’: Woman flips car while singing, and she caught the chaos on camera

Nursing student Kaitlynn McCutcheon caught the terrifying moment she flipped her car whilst singing to Britney Spears’ ..Baby One More Time.

Taking to Instagram at the end of August, the Penn State University student posted the crash video alongside the caption, “I guess you could say I got hit one more time.”

In the clip, Kaitlynn was belting the pop classic with her full chest before hitting the iconic “Hit me baby one more time” lyric. It was at that moment her eyes widened, presumably predicting the chaos that was about to unfold.

Kaitlynn McCutcheon noticeably swerved in the road, her air freshers dangling in front of the camera, but then the car spun all the way around before a slam was heard. At this point, the car flipped, rolling Kaitlynn onto her side as she reached for her phone, which had fallen out of the window. The final shot showed Kaitlynn sideways in the vehicle.

Kaitlynn McCutcheon was fine after her viral car crash video

Fine might be a strong word to use, but Kaitlynn McCutcheon was left relatively unscathed after crashing her car to the sound of Britney Spears. She suffered a concussion and some minor bruising in what could have been a disastrous trip to her grandparents’ house.

Since being posted just over a week ago, the post has racked up nearly 2.5 million likes. People seemed divided on the viral video, with some accusing Kaitlynn of behaving irresponsibly.

“Maybe next time don’t drive in that state of mind, that’s when mistakes happen, hope you’re all good,” one person wrote.

“It’s crazy that the first thing she does is pick up the camera,” another said.

Other people said it was “very Gen Z” to immediately reach for your phone after a car crash, but as someone pointed out, “People moaning about her reaching for her phone as if she’s going to send a messenger pigeon to contact 911.”

“The fact that she grabs for her phone tells a lot about this generation,” someone else countered with.

In the words of Britney herself, Kaitlynn is now Stronger than yesterday.
