Simone Ashley was spotted kissing a mystery man – so who is her rumoured boyfriend?
He is the co-owner of a very famous NYC restaurant
It’s hard to imagine Simone Ashley with anyone other than Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton, yet in real life, she was spotted kissing her rumoured boyfriend.
Fresh off her breakout in Bridgerton and a string of projects that turned her into a global star, Simone Ashley was spotted looking very cosy at the 2025 US Open with a man people didn’t recognise. Well, we finally have a name.
On Monday, September 1, Simone and her new man were seen courtside at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre. The two were affectionate throughout the match, even sharing a quick kiss in the stands.
So, who’s the mystery man with Simone Ashley?

Well, Just Jared just identified him as Tim Sykes. He’s a New York businessman and restauranteur who’s made a name for himself in the city’s dining scene.
He is the co-owner and managing partner of NYC’s Ruby’s Cafe. And he is part of the Wish You Were Here Group, which also runs restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Basically, he’s one of those “cool New York guys” who’s everywhere and knows everyone.
On top of that, Simone actually follows his (very private) Instagram account, which of course only adds fuel to the dating speculation.
Simone was working on her heart and looking for someone confident

Simone has kept her private life low-key even as her career skyrocketed. Back in 2022, she went public with businessman Constantin “Tino” Klein. Although, they were rarely seen together before they split earlier this year.
More recently, she was spotted walking through New York with Joshua Jackson, which immediately sparked dating rumours. That chatter has obviously shifted onto Tim after their US Open appearance.
In March, Simone told PEOPLE that she was entering her “single era,” focusing on herself and not rushing into a new relationship. She said, “I’m working on my heart and on myself and on my confidence.” She also explained, “It’s about self-growth,”, adding that she was looking for someone confident and open-hearted.
Whether Tim Sykes is that person remains to be seen. But judging by the smiles and the kiss courtside, she might be ready to turn the page.
Love is clearly in the air, and this time, it’s not just on Netflix.
