Then and now pics of the Modern Family kids prove just how much they have grown up

Modern Family first aired in 2009 and ended five years ago, during which we literally saw the kids grow up into adults and go through major transformations. If you loved the show, I’m sure it all feels a bit nostalgic now. I mean, Sarah, who played Haley, was only 19 when it started. And now she’s all grown up and married! With Modern Family having first aired almost 16 years ago, the kids look a lot different now.

So, let’s take a trip down memory lane and compare how the Modern Family kids looked then to how they look now.

Sarah Hyland

Sarah, who played Haley, was only 19 when the show started and was a very important character. She’s now 34. Although she doesn’t have twins in real life, she did find her endgame and she’s married to him now. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played her uncle Mitchell, officiated the wedding.

Ariel Winter

Ariel played Alex when she was just 11. We watched her grow from a child to a teenager to an adult, all while looking absolutely graceful. She’s now 27 and an amazing cook. Literally obsessed!

The funny, iconic Luke Dunphy was played by Nolan when he was only 11. I don’t know how they have such a good sense of humour at that age, but well, they do. He’s 26 now, and has grown into an absolutely handsome gentleman.

The very cute, and the youngest for most of the show, Lily was played by Aubrey when she was just four years old. She’s turning 18 in a few weeks, and I might just cry. We witnessed her entire childhood, and it aches now to think she’s about to be an adult.

Jeremy was also four years old when he joined the cast of Modern Family, though not from the beginning. He first appeared in season seven, so we didn’t really get to see him grow up as much as the others. But he’s now a teenager at 14 and still absolutely adorable.
