Tony reveals the exact moment he knew things wouldn’t work with Morena on MAFS Australia

They were never going to be compatible

Tony and Morena are the latest couple to leave MAFS Australia, and the groom has revealed the exact moment he knew it wasn’t going to work with her.

They had a rocky road from the start, with small-town charter captain Tony struggling to keep up with Morena’s wild DJ lifestyle.

The pair had very opposite personalities, and it turns out, the groom knew things wouldn’t work out right from the first moment they met.

“I always believe that when you meet a woman it’s there instantly, in the first 30 seconds, it wasn’t there,” he told  Nine after the show.

Tony knew in the first 30 seconds of meeting Morena that they weren’t compatible, but he wanted to try and give it a go for the sake of the experiment.

“I wanted to at least feel the experience, to learn off her, learn from the experts, get some information about where we’re going wrong in life,” he continued.

“But it got to a stage where I just couldn’t be around her and I was ducking and weaving and I was going to see my dog.”

Tony left Morena in the Sydney apartments and went home to de-stress and spend time with his sick dog, and his on-screen wife was totally furious.

Things then went from bad to worse when Morena called out his way of showing love, saying she hated it when he put her in a headlock.

“I just want him to be a gentleman,” the 57-year-old told the experts. “I’ve asked him, ‘Do not fist bump me’ and he still does it, I’ve asked him, ‘Stop head locking me’ and he still does it.”

“That’s how I show my affection,” Tony insisted, but she pleaded: “Stop head-locking me, stop fist-bumping me and stop high-fiving me.”

These two were never going to work, but at least they gave it a good go.
