Celebrity Traitors 2026 week one theories: A secret Traitor in the mix and Julie to be recruited

Celebrity Traitors 2026 got off to a rollercoaster start with a recruitment, a chaotic Traitor blunder, a murder and a tense first round table, and the theories are already swirling after week one. From the possibility of there being a secret Traitor amongst them to who’s going to be banished first, here are all of them.

There’s a secret Traitor amongst them 

On The Traitors UK earlier this year, there was a secret red-cloaked Traitor who was kept a secret from both the Traitors and the public up. What if they did that again, but without telling anyone? Well, some people are convinced that’s the case, and the secret Traitor is Jerry Hall. The evidence? She was weirdly vocal in her support for Richard, and she gave up really quickly in the buried challenge. Plus, it also seems strange that she’s not getting any heat.  It’s a possibility. 

Richard E Grant is a goner

There’s a theory that the way the second episode finished on that massive cliffhanger proves Traitor Richard E Grant is getting banished. People think the producers edited it that way to give Richard a bit more airtime, because he gets a landslide vote and is sent packing already. This early in the game? How embarassing.

These Faithfuls will be murdered next

Based on past series, people have a theory that the Faithfuls who get the most screen time are the ones who get murdered next, because the show is gearing up for their murder. It makes sense. If that’s true, Ross Kemp, Hannah Fry and Jerry Hall are all in the firing line. If the latter isn’t a secret Traitor, obviously.

All three Traitors won’t make it to the end

People are predicting that for the first time ever, all three Traitors will be banished super early on in the game, and there will be a desperate recruiting spree which leads to a whole new lineup of Traitors continuing through to the final without suspicion. They’re already being hunted down thick and fast, and I can see this lot of Traitors throwing each other under the bus without a second thought. 

Julie will be recruited 

If the Traitors get another opportunity to recruit very soon, people think Julie Hesmondhalgh will be the top choice because she’s already successfully identified all three Traitors. She turned to James and said: “I’d recruit you. I think you’re the super-Traitor hunter.” Plus, she said anyone defending Richard would immediately be “under the microscope” and put Maya on her “maybe” list. The Traitors could choose to murder her, but wouldn’t that be too obvious?
