The Love Island fandom have got it into their heads that the ex-Islanders Scott Thomas and Jessy Potts are dating and totally in love. But are the two of them really dating? We examine all the evidence.
Exhibit A: Neither of them seem to be seeing other people
Jessy Potts split from Joey Essex back in September. The couple lasted a whole seven weeks out of the Love Island villa. She appears to have been single since then.
Scott dramatically left the Love Island: All Stars villa after admitting he didn’t feel a spark with Tina Stinnes. Tina told Amy Hart on an Instagram livestream shortly before the Love Island: All Stars final that she’d FaceTimed Scott, but she dismissed the idea of going on a date with him. After quitting the villa, Scott hasn’t been romantically linked with anyone else, but has returned to his roots of posting self-help videos on Instagram.
Exhibit B: Scott Thomas and Jessy Potts have been spotted around London
People claim to have spotted them watching Back To The Future The Musical in the West End. Apparently they spent the night together at the fancy The Londoner hotel on Leicester Square? Scott posted plenty of pics of his outing on Instagram, but didn’t tag Jessy in them or anything.
Of course, it is entirely possible for a man and a woman to spend time together without them being secretly in love with each other. Especially if they’re basically work colleagues. But you never know.
Exhibit C: The UK tabloids have reported Scott Thomas and Jessy Potts are dating
