Comments about Danny Jones ‘leaving wife’ and ‘sexless marriage’ resurface amid Maura scandal

Some previous comments Danny Jones and his wife made about their marriage have resurfaced, amid the ongoing scandal following the Brits 2025. At the after party of the event, footage emerged of what seemingly showed I’m A Celeb 2024 cast members Danny Jones and Maura Higgins sharing a kiss.

Now, some are saying the footage actually shows them just speaking. But, all in all, the showbiz world has collapsed over theorising what may or may not have happened.

Anyway, Danny has been married to his wife Georgia for over a decade. And whilst all of this has been going on, people have been dragging up old comments made about their marriage.

In a 2019 interview, Danny Jones’ wife spoke about how they didn’t have sex for around a year. Shortly after welcoming a baby together, Georgia appeared on the Made by Mammas Podcast. She spoke about being a mother. She also mentioned how this had affected her marriage with Danny.

“We can’t have had sex for a year at one stage because after you have your baby you’re healing. And after two months into getting pregnant we didn’t have sex,” she revealed. “We’re a very touchy feely couple.” She later joked: “He was alright he got what he needed!”.

She also said that during pregnancy “Danny would not come near me”. But she later clarified this was just because he feared he would “hurt the baby.”

Another interview has also resurfaced, this time Danny talking about “leaving” his wife. Let’s clarify, it was all a joke, but maybe one that didn’t age too well. Just days before the Brits scandal, Danny spoke with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast.

He spoke about the stress of renovating his home, and said he went in the jungle to “leave” his wife behind. Danny said: “Do you know what? I left my wife to move. I just left my wife.”

Rob called it an “awkward exclusive” before Josh said: “What an exclusive.” Danny then explained: “I left my wife to move house so I’m surprised she’s still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.”

Well, that’s not aged too well.
