Stranger Things 5 ‘leak’ claims member of the gang is killed off – and theorises exactly who

It’s finally getting to when Stranger Things 5 is actually close, and now an apparent “leak” is claiming to know some of the upcoming plot. The leak is unconfirmed, but it talks of the death of one of the beloved gang. Guys, I don’t think I’m ready!

Can you believe Stranger Things 4 was released two and half years ago? It will be back soon, and the fifth season is set in the fall of 1987. “One last adventure begins,” Netflix has teased. There will be eight episodes in season five.

And, apparently, one of those episodes will feature the death of one of our favourite characters. We had the near death of Max in season four, and honestly, that was enough to tip me over the edge. Here’s what the online claims are saying.

Stranger Things 5 apparent leak claims one of the gang is being killed off

A “leak” is going around, which claims a major character will die in Stranger Things 5. “Stranger Things 5 spoiler: So far one major character’s death is confirmed in the finale. Mike, Will and Lucas are safe, so that leaves Max, Dustin and Eleven,” a tweet about it claims.

Fan site StrangerThingsHub has said the storyline has “leaked online” but nothing is confirmed. It claims Mike, Will, Dustin and Lucas are “set to survive” the show, but Eleven and Max are at risk.

The fifth season is set to take place in 1987, but it looks as though the final episode jumps to 1989. Here, some of the cast members attend graduation. The site claims Will Byers, Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson and Lucas Sinclair will be graduating from Hawkins High School in 1989. But what about Max and Eleven? Do they not make it to the end?

The episode titles for Stranger Things season five have been officially release by Netflix. They are: The Crawl, The Vanishing of …, The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape from Camazotz, The Bridge and The Rightside Up.

When does season five come out?

We don’t have an exact release date for Stranger Things 5 just yet, but we do know it will be in 2025. And 2025 is just a month away. So, it could be any time in the coming months. It’s been in production for a year, since January 2024. It’s predicted to be released around the Autumn period of 2025, but that’s not confirmed.
