The girlfriend of MrBeast, Thea Booysen, has rushed to defend him in her YouTube comments, following pleas from her fans to break up with him over the allegations he’s currently facing.

Thea Booysen has a YouTube channel of her own, and in the comments of one of her most recent videos, one fan expressed their opinion on her relationship with MrBeast. They commented: “As a fellow South African and an admirer of your intelligence and good nature, please get away from the Beast as soon as you can,” the viewer wrote, as translated by YouTube.

Thea quickly replied, defending both MrBeast and their relationship together, responding: “I appreciate the message. There is so much that is not being said, I wish I could talk more about the situation. Half the things that are said are not true, I wouldn’t be with him if they were.

“It is so important to me to be a good person. Hopefully things will be fixed soon, but for now I’m focusing on my studies and trying to stay away from everything.”

Her comments follow a string of allegations against MrBeast, including poor filming conditions for his new show Beast Games, resurfaced clips of him joking about slavery and former employees claiming he’s a “scam.” He has since apologised for his “inappropriate language” and “bad jokes” in a statement.

Speaking in a statement a spokesperson for Jimmy Donaldson said: “When Jimmy was a teenager he acted like many kids and used inappropriate language while trying to be funny. Over the years he has repeatedly apologised and has learned that increasing influence comes with increased responsibility to be more aware and more sensitive to the power of language. After making some bad jokes and other mistakes when he was younger, as an adult he has focused on engaging with the MrBeast community to work together on making a positive impact around the world.”
