You can now become your group’s beer connoisseur with a free tasting class at a BrewDog bar near you
Your PhD in IPAs
Going to the pub at uni is no easy feat if you’re looking for something better than the usual draft. Even if you’re paying only three pounds for a pint, you can bet that the consistent midweek tipples will be the death of your loan. And for what? Another watered-down froth-fest of a beer you’re not even going to enjoy?
Well, good news. You can now save yourself from that sorrowful can of ‘insert-budget-lager-here’ as BrewDog are offering you free classes in beer tasting, through their Bar Stool Beer School. These are 30-minute sessions (running Monday – Thursday from 6pm and from 12pm on Sundays), where you’ll be given four beers (that’s right, four) from their Headliner range, as well as a lesson on how to properly taste beer and info about the ingredients of each taster.
Hopping out your seat yet? Here’s how to be on your way to becoming your campus’ craft beer master.

Step 1: Click through to BrewDog’s website here and hit BOOK NOW, obvs.
Step 2: Find the nearest BrewDog bar in your city (all bars are participating so don’t worry about being left out, they gotcha), then choose a day and time that’s best for you and the squad.
Step 3: Enter your name and email – nothing extra required. Then go forth and enjoy some hoppy goodness, free of charge. It’s that simple.
BrewDog are also running a student-only offer from Monday to Wednesday in all their bars, where you can get a burger and pint for £10, or a pizza and pint for £8. So, forget about that penne monstrosity in your fridge and that watered down vodka from pres. You’ve come up in the world now.
So what are you waiting for? You’re about to be opened up to a new world of craft beer, and for free. No brainer really.
BrewDog are offering free beer tasting sessions for students from Monday-Thursday, 12pm to 6pm
You can also get their student-only deal of a meal and a pint for £10 or under
