COMPETITION: What would you do for £1,000?
How weird are you willing to go?
Yubl, a new social messaging app, is challenging students across the country to post their weird and wonderful ideas on the app in return for a huge prize.
They’re asking: “What would you do for a grand?”
It’s kicking off already, the competition only launched on Sunday evening and dozens of people have already started posting their most imaginative entries to try and win the £1,000.

What would you do for a grand?
How can I enter?
- Download Yubl (it’s free)
- Find and follow the Iwouldforagrand profile
- Respond to a message which asks what uni you’re at
- Create a yubl with your own weird and wonderful idea of what you would do for a grand, including the ‘Iwouldforagrand’ sticker and ‘count’ button
- Post the yubl to your followers – this automatically enters you into the competition
- Get as many friends as you can to tap your count button

Would you flash a biker for a grand?
More taps on your Yubl count button means a better chance of winning. And anyone in your group (course, society, halls, flatmates etc.) can get involved by tapping on your entry.
Share the #iwouldforagrand hashtag on other platforms to promote your entry and rack up more taps. There will only be one winner per city and there’s no limit to the number of yubls you can enter.
Winners will each receive £1,000 to put towards an end-of-term celebration with their friends. Sound good?
To be eligible to win, you must be a student and based in one of these cities:
Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Leeds, Leicester, Loughborough, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield and Southampton.

Would you do this for a grand?
Keep in mind you don’t actually need to act out your idea to win the competition – just inspire and encourage people to interact with your post.
The competition ends at noon on Monday 23rd May 2016.
