It’s ok, we’re still beating Trent…

Nottingham University has dropped two places from last year down to 28th place nationally, according to the Guardian University Guide 2014. Still, that’s not so bad. Compared to Trent (who came 73rd) UoN is still flying high.

The table ranks Nottingham ahead of Russell Group rivals Sheffield, Manchester, King’s College London, Leeds and Cardiff, but behind local competitors Leicester and Loughborough who placed 13th and 14th respectively.

The table is still dominated by the usual suspects Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, St. Andrews and UCL. From 28th place, UoN looks to be a long way off from challenging them.

Other notables include the University of Birmingham, which rose 15 places from 30th to 15th, and the University of Warwick, which fell five places from 5th to 10t
