Norwich Taxi Firm to Feature on Channel 4

One of UEA’s most popular taxi firms is appearing in a late-night Channel 4 documentary – could you be featured?

| UPDATED

Though the drunken antics of a Norwich Saturday night may not seem particularly enthralling to those involved (even through beer goggles), it has become the subject of an upcoming Channel 4 documentary. The show offers an insight into the behaviour of Britons at night and introduces what Channel 4 now calls “the unsung heroes of the night.”

Unsung heroes of the night and their noble chariot…

Attempting to “shed an intimate light on life after dark in some of Britain’s more hidden locations”, the “Up All Night” series of documentaries covers events everywhere – from nightclub toilets to pubs.

We’ve all sat on those sofas…

Inevitably, most of the action takes place in the early hours of the morning. Speaking to Norwich Evening News 24, the owner of Courtesy Taxis, Mark Streeter, said: “We see the full spectrum… as drivers we see the nicest and we see the nastiest.”

Courtesy Taxis, an established taxi firm in Norwich with 50 cars and several buses, operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Available to everyone from students to weddings, a Bentley is even owned by the company for safe transit wherever people want to go.

Do you reckon they want a lift home?

Whether an intoxicated local, a student on their way to the station or someone heading to the airport, the chances are you have been snapped over the course of this documentary in the company’s bid to provide a greater appreciation of what it means to run and be a part of a minicab company.

The programme will be broadcast on Thursday, October 24th at 10pm on Channel 4. Well worth a watch!
