UoM cruises to semis after thrashing Southampton
Ben MarshallManchester’s university challenge team swept through to the contest’s semi finals on Monday night.

Liz Mitchell and her crew flew to victory against Southampton in a 200 – 80 humiliation for the southerners.
And the Mancunians have already seen off one Oxford and one Cambridge college to reach the last four.
UoM won the series in 2012 and 2013, so a this year would make three victories in a row – something no uni’s ever done before.

“There is a bit of pressure, as every Manchester team for the past few years has reached the semi-finals”, captain Liz told The Tab earlier this month.
Our team this year also includes Jonathan Collings, Joe Day and Edward Woudhuysen.
