Petrol bombers target Echos… again

WHY

Our beloved Echos has been targeted by petrol bombers for the second time.

The latest incident came only last week, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage. The first attack came in early December when four fire crews were called out to tend to a blaze in the club’s roof space.

Manager Mark Page told the Loughborough Echo three petrol bombs were found and a police investigation was launched.

The assailants were able to plant the bombs after smashing a hole in the roof.

Earlier this week, workmen came across two new petrol bombs, with the petrol still inside them. The police have since taken the bottles for forensic testing and are monitoring activity in and around the club.

Mr Page told the Echo: “Other than turning people away we have no idea. We are lost. We don’t want people to be turned off coming here. They are doing it when the place is closed.”

Although the police investigation remains stagnant, multiple conspiracy theories have emerged online.

De Montford extremists, aggrieved locals and even the Illuminati have been accredited with the attacks and it seems only a matter of time before they strike again.

Whoever it is though, can you please stop?
