Leeds hit by worst floods in years

Much of Leeds has been submerged in water following torrential downpours.

Huge swathes of the city centre has flooded, causing chaos for Leeds residents.

Leeds University halls of residence Liberty Park have been affected by the floods, which are the worse Leeds has seen in decades.

The sudden floods started to occur early on December 26th and have been worsening since.

The Kirkstall Vue cinema was also forced to be evacuated during a boxing day screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
