Everyone thinks Katy Perry’s current downfall is because she was cursed by nuns in 2018
No, I am genuinely not making this up
In what is probably one of the wildest theories I’ve ever heard, people think that Katy Perry was cursed by nuns in 2018 and that’s why she’s been in a flop era ever since. And yes, this genuinely is an actual thing that happened.
Okay, but let’s back up for a second, so what exactly happened that means people think nuns cursed Katy Perry?

Well, in 2018 Katy Perry was embroiled in a property dispute with two nuns which eventually got taken to court. Katy Perry had agreed to buy a former convent in Los Angeles in 2015, but the nuns who had previously lived there strongly objected.
Sister Catherine Rose and Sister Rita Callanan said at the time that they were “uncomfortable” handing the convent and the surrounding eight acres of land over to Katy Perry.
Katy tried to win them over by reportedly visiting them and apparently she sang a hymn for them and showed them her tattoo of Jesus. Unsurprisingly, the two nuns still weren’t on board with her plans. Sister Rita savagely said that she’d “found her videos” and “wasn’t happy with any of it.” Yikes.
Tragedy then struck when, in the middle of the trial, Sister Catherine Rose collapsed and died during the court hearing. Mere hours before her death she directly spoke a plea to Katy Perry, begging her: “To Katy Perry, please stop. It’s not doing anyone any good except hurting a lot of people.”

Her death is what’s caused a lot of people online to theorise that she cursed Katy Perry before she passed away for trying to take away their convent. If this doesn’t get made into a Netflix documentary soon then I’ll just the making of one myself. You genuinely cannot make this kind of stuff up.
